September 29 - Garage Sale Setup and Board Meeting

Bring things to sell at the Art Guild Garage Sale afternoon or evening Thursday, Sept 29.  We are holding the sale at Nancy Cagle's home, 4017 Meadow Brook Road.  It is the first street on the right if you take Huaco from New Road.  If you have questions about the sale or need directions, call Nancy at 754-4416 or 715-3435.  Or you can email her at nancycagle@grandecom.net

Please stay for the Board meeting at 7 p.m.  Even if you are not officially on the Board, your ideas would be welcome.  As you probably know, Linda Molares has had to resign.  Ellen Foster agreed to finish up Linda's duties through December, but Ellen was injured in an automobile accident.  Ellen will be staying with her son in Mesquite while she recovers.  What we need to do at this point is to make sure that the remaining meetings for this year are taken care of and to get officers elected for next year.  The new Board can plan next year's programs.

September 30 & October 1 - Art Guild Garage Sale

The sale will be Friday and Saturday, 8 a.m. until 4 or 5 p.m. or whenever shoppers stop coming.  Please volunteer to come for a few hours or as long as you would like.  Those coming for the first shift each day should plan to come by 7 a.m. to get things set out.  Bring things for sale on Thursday, as described in the previous item.

September 30 & October 1 - Art Guild Yard Sale

Many thanks to all of those who contributed items, and especially to Nancy and Charles Cagle, Charleen Isbell, Bettye Schwartz and others who helped sell them.  This event added about $200 to the treasury.

September 11 Meeting Postponed To a Date to Be Announced.  There will be NO meeting in September.

At Some Future Date - Graphics Computer Training - Linda Morales (Waco, TX)

Want to learn how to manipulate graphic images and photos?  Then bring along your own computer and digital camera equipment and learn how to: download images, resize them, fix problems, and other fun ways to manipulate those images.  For those of you who are unable to bring your equipment, we will also be demonstrating on a computer with overhead projector for those to wish to take notes.  Rose Larkie and Bill Franklin will also be on hand to assist anyone who needs additional assistance.
