March 29 - April 17 - Baylor Student Faculty Art Exhibit

The Martin Museum of Art at Baylor has a very nice exhibit of over 100 works of faculty and student art, including painting, drawing, printing, sculpture, and photography. It was juried and judged, and eight awards of merit were awarded on March 29. A ninth People's Choice Award will be awarded at the end of the exhibit. Drop by to enjoy the art and to vote for your favorite. The problem is to pick only one!

April 15 - David Smith - Critique of Member Art & Other Comments

David Smith writes a weekly column about the arts for the Waco Tribune-Herald. He had agreed to speak to us, and has offered to critique our art. Since we have a very nice exhibit up in the foyer of the MCC Ball Performing Arts Center, we will just meet there so that he can critique some of the works on display, as well any you care to bring with you. We plan to meet at the regular time, 1:30 for refreshments and conversation, 2 for the meeting and presenter. There are not many seats in the Foyer, so if you have some sort of folding chair or stool, it would be good to bring it. We will move down the length of the foyer during the critique, so a movable seat is an advantage. David will probably not have time to comment on every painting, but will try to deal with those that you particularly want to have critiqued.

To get to the Ball PAC, turn from Lake Shore Drive onto College Drive. Take the second left onto Highlander Drive, and then the first right into the driveway to the Ball parking lot. There are some handicapped spaces for those who need them.
